Health and Wellness

  • Our wellness program provides annual screenings for hearing, vision, speech, dental health, sensory-motor functioning.

  • Nutrition and exercise education are integrated into daily routines as part of our commitment to the Healthy Apple model endorsed by the San Francisco Department of Health and the Children’s Council of S.F.

  • Onsite Mental Health consultations funded by the Dept. of Health are provided by Esther Wong, LCSW, who is affiliated with the Infant-Parent Program at UCSF.

  • Dept. of Public Health Nurse, Elenita Silva works with our staff and families. She consults as needed and regularly provides in-service training on a range of health-related topics.

  • Occupational Therapist, Julia Harris conducts gross and fine motor screenings for the preschool aged children.  Teachers are given guidance on how to adapt activities to strengthen their skills in these areas.  Parents are informed of their child's  development and, when needed, further assessments and referrals are arranged.
