Through hands-on nutrition activities, exercise, and inspiring gardening opportunities, we nurture both mind and body for lifelong well-being.

Parent Engagement

  • Parents are welcome to participate in the classroom in many ways, including assisting on neighborhood walks, gardening in the large nature-infused outdoor environment, playing a musical instrument, reading or telling stories, painting, leading a cooking project, and sharing celebrations, food, and music from their culture.

  • Parents direct activities supporting community building by responding to our annual parent survey.

  • Biannual parent-teacher conferences are scheduled to share information on their child in the program and at school.

  • The Center welcomes parents to be present during each child’s first few days of enrollment.

  • Our annual back-to-school night orients parents to our programs and policies.

  • Parent Education seminars are held based on interests and needs. We host an annual two-part session on how children learn.

  • Childcare and dinner are provided any time we have evening activities for parents.
